On 22nd September the Cambridge Union Society, the world's oldest student debating society, hosted a debate on the motion This House would legalise euthanasia.

Care Not Killing's campaign director, Dr Peter Saunders, was one of three experienced speakers opposing the motion. Dr Kathy Myers, a palliative care consultant in Hertfordshire, and Cambridge student Madeleine Teahan completed the team.
