David Morris, who had spinal muscular atrophy and chaired the Independent Living Alternatives, which promotes the right of disabled people to live independently, passed away on the 18th April 2010. Tributes from the organisations which he promoted and worked for, as well as the people he was campaining for have been flooding in ever since.

During his lifetime, he campaigned for the rights of disaled people in the UK and commented that 'Disabled people are worried about assisted suicide', and gave his views before Lord Falconer and the Rev Richard Coles.
