"Prue Leith supports assisted dying. Her son Danny Kruger MP is against. Can a trip to North America, where assisted dying is legal, resolve their differences?"
Tomorrow night (Thursday 16 February, 9pm), Channel 4 will air a documentary following the celebrity chef and her son - who chairs the Dying Well Group in Parliament - on a journey to consider the cases for and against legalising assisted suicide. The Guardian's TV reviewer says:
"Prue and Danny's Death Road Trip… truly is one of the better-framed "debates" I have seen on British TV... Both lean on the centre-sides of the [assisted suicide] debate, both have varied points of view on why assisted dying is right or wrong... and both are willing to hear each other out in various roadside diners and on the top decks of ferries. No one is ever really right and no one ever really gets it wrong. It's a curiously engrossing watch."
We encourage supporters to watch, to suggest the show to friends, and to share on social media: Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday 16 February, and afterwards on All 4.
If you want a flavour of the programme in advance, Danny and Prue have discussed it on BBC Radio 2, the BBC Newscast podcast and GB News.
